I have recently aquired a Kenwood PC1 Phone patch and want to change the
connector to work with my IC 706 MKII.

Anyone have any advice?

The Pins on the 706 are as follows:

Pin1 = 8V DC Output
Pin 2= Frequency Up/Down
Pin 3 = AF Output
Pin 4 = PTT
Pin 5 = GND (microphone ground)
Pin 6 = Microphone Input
Pin 7 = GND
Pin 8 = Squelch Switch

The pins on the PC1A phone patch are as follows:

Pin 1 = Mic Hot
Pin 2 = PTT
Pin 3 = Down
Pin 4 = Up
Pin 5 = Aux 1
Pin 6 = Aux 2
Pin 7 = Mic Ground
Pin 8 = PTT, Up/Down Ground

I will be using a kenwood microphone to key the rig that I borrowed from
a TM 241 A. The only difference I notice between the assignments on the
Kenwood phone patch and the Kenwood microphone is that the microphone
uses Pin 5 for 8V dc and Pin 6 is RX Audio.

Sure could use a little advice!

Thanks

Mack
