Hi Hans

I have had similar problems with the stock mic of my
MKII. I opened it up and removed a rubber disc
sandwitched between the mic and the plastic case. It
worked very well for me and I now run the radio with a
mic gain of about 60-70%...ofcourse no where close to
the Heil HS 706 that I have..but better than nothing,


I am not sure whether the stock mic of 725 has the
same kind of disc. You may want to check that out.

Will look for you on 20m at 1700Z for the sked.
