I want to use a TenTec RX-320 as a dual watch receiver in
conjunction with my IC-745.
They will both be connected to the same antenna.
When the IC-745 switches from receive to transmit, I need a way
to prevent
the 745 RF from entering the RX-320.
In the 745 manual, I note that there is a Receiver Antenna
Output Terminal
and a Receiver Input Terminal on the back of the 745 and that
these are
jumpered together with a small RCA-RCA cable.
Can I simply replace the jumper with an RCA Y connector and
route the third connection
to the antenna input of the RX-320?
Is there any danger of transmit RF getting into the RX-320 if I
do this?
