[Icom] FW: Icom IC-2KL trips

Hi Don,

The ALC may be out of adjustment. I suggest that you connect the IC-2KL
output to an RF power meter and dummy load, and go through the ALC
calibration procedure. If you need the user manual and/or schematics, they
are downloadable here:

http://www.qsl.net/icom/manuals.html

Assuming that the amplifier delivers 500W to the dummy load on all bands
without tripping, you can then connect the AT-500, calibrate it with the
dummy load on a midband frequency in each band, and verify that it
bandswitches and tunes correctly when you change bands.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi Group,

Have a new IC-2KL with AT-500 hooked to my 781. Tuner
seems to match use fine on 10M-40M. When I switch in
the IC-2KL with more than 20W drive from exciter the amp
trips. Any thoughts ? Have checked all connections. No help.

Thanks in advance.
