I built the circuit and use it for CW. Works great and easy to build. Got
all the parts from RS. Layout was a matter of drilling holes for the
momentary switches and an additional hole for the cable to the mic plug on
the rig. Beginner level project and didn't take long.
For phone, you will need a way to use the single mic connector for both the
mic and the wire to the circuit. I only use it for CW so, I disconnect the
mic and use a separate connector to plug in the circuit.

Subject: [Icom] Icom 756 Pro 2 - External keypad - Voice memory keyer
Hi to all.
With the up coming Phone Sweep Stakes contest, I would like to be able to
use
the voice memories and still have the display on spectrum display. In the
icom manual, pg 73, its an easy circuit. I wonder if anyone has built this
and could tell me what probs, if any I might encounter, and sample layouts
and etc.
Thanks in advance to all es 73.
