Marty,

Have you tried this fix at the below Heil's website:
http://www.heilsound.com/newsletterdec.htm

I was having ground loop problems with my Hmi (and other microphones).
I implemented the above fix; problem completely solved.

Hello. I just got an HM-I mike for my 775-DSP and when I connect it up
to the 775, I get a terrible ground loop. It works fine with my Goldline
though. When I connect the HM-I to the 756Pro II, I don't seem to have
any problem. I then removed the ground and external speaker from the 775
and still have the problem. Just to be fair, I took the ground off of
the 756Pro II and connected it up to the 775. I still have the same
problem. I heard tales of some of the HM-I's having screws at the base
of the mike being a little too long and causing it to ground out the
8v's. Anyone have any experience with the HM-I and the 775-DSP ? Thanks
for your assistance.

Marty, W3QK
