In a weak defense of JA engineering, the quoted comment came from an Icom
America service technician who was probably guessing at an interpretation
of the spec. He might as well since no one else seems to agree on what it
means! <:}
Relay specs are far more complex than merely stating a voltage rating and a
current rating. Neither can be taken at face value unless a lot of
conditions are stated, etc.
There are several different voltages that the rating could apply to, as
well as several different currents. As it is, the "spec" is essentially
meaningless - except as a conversation piece . . .
I think this horse is ready to be buried - he runs around the track once a
month when there is a full moon then goes back to the stable.
