Pisan Tower Special Event & Award Information
June 1 & 2, 2002 -- Metro Amateur Radio Club (MAC) joins forces with the
Pisa,
Italy Amateur Radio Club for joint Special Event.
Event highlights Sister Cities � Niles, Illinois and Pisa. Italy�and
offers ham radio
"Pisan Tower Award"
Look for K9Y and IZ5AXT/TWR on phone and CW. Work both stations and earn
the
"Pisan Tower Award." Work only one station and earn special event QSL
card. N9BOR
& IK5ZTT are QSL managers for the event.

Our event would not be possible without the cooperation and encouragement

the Village of Niles and Leaning Tower YMCA.

Phone - 28.370, 21.370, 14.270, 7.270 MHz
Talk-in - 147.315 MHz MAC Repeater (+600, no PL)
QSL Information:
Direct QSL:
N9BOR & IK5ZTT are QSL managers for the event. If you work one station,
you may
request a Special Event QSL card from that station. Please provide a
self-addressed
envelope with sufficient return postage. If you are requesting a QSL card
from a country
other than your own, please provide one IRC (International Reply Coupon)
or one
greenstamp. Donations gratefully accepted, but not required.
If you work both stations, you may request a "Pisan Tower Award"
certificate from
either QSL manager. Please provide a self-addressed, 9 1/2" x 12"
envelope with
sufficient return postage. If you are requesting a certificate from a
country other than
your own, please provide two IRCs (International Reply Coupon) or two
greenstamps.
