[Icom] Icom 505 question

I just ordered a used Icom 505 6 meter portable, which
should be here by friday-which is perfect to take
camping with me this weekend.  I know that the radio
will run off of internal batteries, but I do not know
which kind.  Can anyone tell me what kind of batteries
it takes-I am assumming either C cells or D cells. 
Also looking for any comments about the rig-good or
bad
