Folks should really go to Icom's website and download the manual if you
don't already have it. At least everyone would be reading from the same
piece of paper.

The manual talks to two switching functions. One is through the ACC 1
and ACC 2 (Icom 756PRO II Manual Page 13. The second is describe on
page 18, "Connecting a Non-Icom Linear Amplifier." This instruction not
only clearly states that this if for switching an amplifier, but the it
also states that the specification is "The specifications for the SEND
relay are 16 V DC 2 A. If this level is exceeded, a large external
relay must be used."

FYI

The manual that came with my PRO II picked up at Dayton a few days ago
shows (Page 18) the specifications for the SEND relay as, "16 V DC 0.5
A".

The back cover ID for the manual version is: "A-6072H-1EX-[a figure
which is a 1 in a circle]"

I intend to use the Ameritron ARB-700 originally purchased to use with
my IC 706 MKII when driving a Dentron MLA2500 on DXpeditions.

Better safe than sorry! (My that IS original!)
