[Icom] 706MKIIG Hook up to Alpha 87A

Bob, that's the way I see it. I had owned an 87A for over 4 years and
remember when using my 706 it had a keying spike that liked to trip the
protect circuit on the low drive 87A ............Notice the Yaesu FT-100
also does the same thing. Both a 706MKIIG and FT-100D do the same thing with
the (low drive amp) Acom 2000A. Different subject, also the Icom 781 and
Kachina would trip the protect circuit on my old 87A. Back to the hookup,
looking in my 706MKIIG manual that appears to be correct.

Just want to know if this is correct:

I have a ICOM 706MKIIG and I want to hook it up to my Alpha 87A

Using the supplied ACC Connector:

Take the tip of the RCA Connector and put it to Pin #3 (orange wire)
Take the braid of the RCA Connector and put it to Pin #2 (red wire)

Is this correct?????
