not tried it on rtty, but i get full power using a 232 mbx for hf
packet. i don't recall seeing it in the manual, but i would think
you would want to run 1/2 power or less with the full duty
cycle of rtty. there is an adjustment on the back left side of the
232 to adjust the tnc afsk output drive. i get full output with
the mic gain somewhere around the 9 o'clock position, so
don't really have to crank it up at all.
