Roy,

Reprogramming instructions are available on VU2SBJ's site:
http://www.geocities.com/emailsrikanth/ham/icomram/RAM.html

Please be patient - his webserver appears to be down at the present time.

Subject: [Icom] ICOM PROM No-Fail Memory

Has anyone tried fixing it the HARD way? By that I mean to reprogram the
RAM from your PC after the battery has failed?

I've seen instructions and wondered how many people have successfully done
this. No it hasn't happened to me, but this is more of a Ham/experimenter's
thing rather than "I need to get back on the air" thing.

Better yet, are there any folks out there that have replaced their RAM
boards with the permanent boards and are willing to part with their old
board (for an Icom 745) I'll be happy to pay for shipping. This would be
much safer than to try to "fix something that ain't broke".

Thanks and 73
Roy
