Hey-

If you think a tube radio is just as effective for weak signal ham HF
operation as , say, a 756 Pro, why of course you are entitled to your
opinion but many would disagree with you. Reminds me of the old bromide "got
to learn Morse because when conditions are tough, only it will get through".
Nonsense! Many of the newer digital modes such as Psk-31 are far more
sensitive in weak band conditions than Morse (which is itself a digital
mode, albeit relatively slow and primitive) and take up less bandwidth to
operate.
