[Icom] Auto Noise in MKIIG

Gang,

I drive a 2001 4 door Chevy Blazer.  I seem to hear some sort of impulse noise, most likely ignition, when I operate HF (Its' not the fuel pump).  I heard it in my 1999 Blazer as well.  The noise blanker seems to take most of the noise out, but it would be nice to knock down some of that QRM at the source.  Anyone play with that combination?

I have seen many of these vehicles used by police depts.  I wonder if anyone knows of an option kit that GM may have offered that would suppress RFI for those vehicles that may be destined for public service duty...
