[Icom] Noise With 706MKIIG in 2001 Toyota Tacoma

Sounds like the control cable is defective!  Check it out with an Ohm meter.
Sounds to me like you have data getting into audio. Did you crush the cable
when you re-installed the trim ?  What about when you re-installed the seat
? Did you crush the control cable ?  Did you try the cable/radio on the
bench before you installed it ?

We ALWAYS performed a pre-service check on rear mount commercial radios with
the control cable before install!
