[Icom] IC-2100H alternator whine problems

I agree. I've been told by an alternator tech who is also a Ham that when
you loose a diode in an alternator it changes the ripple frequency of the
resulting DC voltage produced by the alternator. That is why existing
filters which are built into most mobile rigs can't filter it out because
their expecting a ripple of another freq. The strange thing is that the
alternator will continue to charge the car battery.
