I might also add that it would be in your best interests to cut the power
down on both sides of the crossband because if your linking up with a
repeater, the repeater could break squelch for an extended period and drain
your battery quite well! Not that I have any practical experience at that.
I'm just guessing!

Yes it does well at this function. I can tell you it can but It has been a
while since I set it up. I think it's holding both top buttons and then hit
the chg/sel switch on the bottom left.
You'll get a "Flashing" key lock indicator to indicate it is in XBAND RPT.
I hope I'm stearing you right on this.

I have an Icom 2800H dual band radio. I saw something that said it was able
to do cross band repeat. But their is nothing in the instruction booklet on
this. Does someone know if it is capable of doing cross band repeat and if
so how?
