[Icom] Icom 706mk1 High Current

Hi All

 
I think I may have a problem with my 706mk1. On the L pwr setting when txed I am drawing around 30amps, tried this a 2 psu's so I am sure the psu is OK. I get a horrible whineing noise also and the radio sometimes turns itself off. Any ideas what the problem might be. Any circuit diagrams of the internals would be useful.
