I note that in at least one community of our state, Sioux Falls,
they are somewhat restricted in that the rule is $50 at 50 feet.
IOW, if a law enforcement officer can hear the "music" or
"beat" from your car's amplifier at a distance of 50 feet the
fine to be assessed is $50.00 dollars.   Day or night.
I understand this law is heavily enforced.
It increments upward linearly (i.e.  $75 at 75 feet).

Good thing that ICOM doesn't make these amps
("required"  ICOM reference) :-)).
