Hi Tony,

Excellent little radio. I have owned one, and also a rare IC-729 (an IC-728 +
6m). The heatsink is huge; it is the top portion of the chassis, and covers the
whole area (width X depth) of the case.

For you, the price was definitely right! The IC-728 is worth $450 to $550 on the
used market.

Look out for the companion AT-160 autotuner; you may be able to pick one up for
$100 to $150.

adam thank you so much.the display is not that bright but it's on my night
table and sometimes i fall asleep with it on.well it wakes me up due to the
brightness.it lights up like my old yaesu 840 nothing is wrong but sure
would like to dim it or cut it out.also adam this little radio sure is
heavy.it seems they have a huge heat sink.a very well made radio.what is
your opinion of this radio adam.you helped me on many occasions and i do
appreciate it.
