[Icom] Decision time and request for advice (long)

Any one know anything about the new AM broadcst stuff? Apparently, it has
the original AM plus digital sidebands. Suppose to compete rather great
against the FM stero for audio.
For great sound and musid I still like the tube amp with the vinyl platters.
