Just Join the List a few days ago I have been collecting a few Drake twins
and wanted to get the cabinets refinished like they were original I contacted
Hartzell in Miamsburg Ohio, Who originally did the cabinet Paint for drake
the cabinets came Back like New, I also asked them if they could match some
Icom cabinets, I sent in my 761 cabinet and they match it perfect along with
same type finish also they matched the ps30 power supply paint also. The cost
for most cabinets 25.00 larger radios like IC 761 maybe 55.00 Just to put it
into perspective a new cabinet if still available from Icom will run 375.00.
Matching paint has some additional cost but if they have done the matching
work for previous customer you will not have that additional charge, also
there very quick, I just had 7 cabinets restored 175.00 Total and they were
return each wrapped and bubbled with cardboard. and shipping was included. I
Know I have been frustrated in trying to restore an older Icom radio and not
being able to get a good match or correct finish.
Right Now Hartzell can Match all 761 and 765 , 9000 , 781 radios 775 that
light Bronze Finish. Also they have the paint match for the PS30,AT500 and 2
KL amp at100 .

them in.
