As an alternative, you could buy a Yaesu FRB-757 relay unit, or build Matt,
KK5DR's keying interface (linked from my Icom page, or from here:

New to the list, and my 746 hasn't even arrived yet, so
this has been some interesting and informative reading.
With any luck, my 746 will arrive tomorrow. I don't
currently own an amp, and I'm not sure if I will use one
with it or not. But, here's the question. In reading the
PDF file on the Ameritron 702 amplifier interface, it
sounds like it would be a safe way to go. Right, or
wrong ?
