[Icom] Quick question...is there a Pro/Pro II reflector?

Wait a minute!

I DO NOT claim anything. The information I attached was from
an Icom Tech at Icom. I queried tech support on this issue.
Their response is THEIR response, not mine.

However, I will say that if old conservative me were using
the Pro with an amp that required ratings outside those
published by Icom, I would use an interface. I cam currently
investigating available interfaces to stick between the
Hercules-II and the Pro, even though I am almost certain the
Hercules-II is well within the envelope.

The cost of a replacement relay would be much more than the
cost of an interface I think!).

Duane,

I don't believe it. There is no way that any reed relay
that as you claim handles 13.8V at 1A would not handle
25V at 7mA which is 7/1000 the amount of cuurnt and only
2 times the voltage. You do as you wish but I used my
756PRO with an Alpha 99 (same keying specs as the 91b)
for nearly 1000 contacts, full qsk, at 35WPM and never
any relay problems. That is probably 100,000 chances for
the relay to fail. Remember that the 25V and 7mA are
non-inductive loads.
