Thanks to everyone that responded to my plea for help in removing the =
front panel of my Icom 756PRO to replace it.=20
I was able to get it off after receiving a mechanical diagram of the =
front panel assembly from the service manual from a reader of these =
threads.=20
I removed the front from the radio, the knobs, the main dial screws, and =
un-soldered the meter leads from the PC board and using a little more =
pressure the front popped off cleanly. It took about a hour and a half.
The new front panel is on and it looks factory new.
