Steve, I use the Astron VS-35M supply to power both my Kachina 505 DSP and
my PRO. Obviously, you are quite unlikely to be transmitting with two rigs
at the same time so that is not a problem. The receive load of the PRO is
around 3 amps and the Kachina is about 1.5 amps. So, the supply has no
problem powering both rigs in receive.
There is adequate power available to handle most if not all of any other
12-volt devices you might want to use, such as a VHF rig. I use a separate
20 amp Astron RS-20M for my 45 watt VHF/UHF rig, but that is only for
convenience; the VS-35M could easily handle it along with the others in
receive mode. Actually the 20 amp Astron could handle the PRO but it would
be working at its limit and I wouldn't want to use it for digital mode
operations.
A word of advice: normally the folks on this list are not eager to jump on
someone for asking a question, even one that has been asked before, so fire
away. If anyone gripes, just consider the source and ignore them - that is
what the rest of us do! <:}
