a quote from a previous post:
 "...you may have been
bit by a common 756 problem. It's caused by having
both the "auto tuner" and "auto start auto start"
turned ON and then using 6 meters. The manual barely
warns about not doing this. Check your rig, if the
auto tuner produces a low SWR on 6 meters but doesn't
on the other bands the most likely problem (almost
guaranteed) is the relay contacts that select the 6
meter coil have been welded closed, this forces the
tuner to try and tune other bands with the 6 meter
coil, obviously it can't. The only solution is to
replace it. "

Subject: [Icom] Pro II and using tuner on 6 meters...

I just
received a Pro II and heard something about being careful with the tuner on
6 meters. Also will my Astron 35M be sufficient to power the Pro II with
some other small items like a lighted Daiwa watt meter. TMV7A hooked up to
it as long as they are not all keyed and working at the same time.

If this question has been asked before and people don't want it on the
reflector. Then please refer me to the place to find the previous posts and
I will read them there or Email me direct at [email protected]. There is no sense
in sending flames and hateful replies to a fair question just because it was
covered before I joined this reflector. Thank you and 73, Steve, NX1G

Have a great day, because if you don't someone else will!!!
