The 821 has a lot of ribbon cables inside the radio.  Maybe gently rocking
the cables to reseat them might fix an intermittent connection somewhere.
Many ribbon cables go to the front panel, I know, I had to replace a lamp
bulb!

My 821 has suddenly jumped into the Display Demo mode and wont go back to
normal..  I have tried pressing the FM, SUN and SSB/CW buttons while
powering up but it just stays in the the Display DEMO Mode. Reseting the CPU
only appears to have cleared the memory channels.  No default frequencies
are displayed.  Any hints ? Edgar, N6OU
