Paul Hanson down in Georgia is said to be one of the best in the business.
He called me back after I left a message about repairing a 781 and we spoke
for at least 30 mins. on the phone ending with a conclusion that the rig did
not need repair. It only required some simple alignment, which I performed
on my own bench after Paul gave me the proper parameters to look for.
He did not want me to ship a 781 that really did not require anything that
could not be handled by the owner! No charge for the advice and my notch
circuit is now attenuating 55 db, (and this wasn't why I was calling him in
the first place).
Super nice and honest repair man.
73, Bruce K1XR

repaired there was a Kenwood, but his work was first class and the price was
reasonable.
