Hi,
Another way of calculating power is, read Vc and Ic from the meter and
then you know what to do. Simple Ohm's law. Anyhow a few Watt over or
under won't make any noticeable difference on the air. I never use more
than 40W with my 765 or I am on 5W QRP. With Gap Eagle vertical, I never
wanted more power. Well, I am 99% CW. Experience, skill, knowing the
habit of the other operator even on pile-ups, I can usually get thru.
Anyhow if ever I upgrade, I'll go for gain antenna before more power.
