James, it is no secret that Ten Tec has had some QC issues. Of coarse I
won't be popular for saying this but so has Icom, Kenwood, and Yaesu at one
time or another. Sometimes radios get damaged in shipping and the Icom's,
Kenwood's, Yaesu's, and Ten Tec's of this world get the blame when it is the
UPS's. Fed-X's and US postal service that should get the credit. However Ten
Tec is having to own up to and answer for their mistakes and we will have to
see if they measure up with their new top of the line Orion. Only time will
