Reality check.  I just purchased a IC746PRO.  Worked for 5 weeks to the day 
and then the power out went to zero.

Love the radio but having spent 15 years as a  military Hi-Rel Quality 
Control Engineer/Manager, I can state for certainty that stuff fails.

Hope to have the 746 back soon.
