I still use my Beta machine and it is far superior in audio and video =
recording.  There was never a  Beta/VHS war.  Sony refused to license =
the Beta format and wanted to keep it proprietary because of their =
professional machines that continue to selling in that market place.

The ORION screen looks BW.  Does it not present color?

The ORION looks nice, resembles the PRO and it may even be better, but
remember the marketplace rules. For example does anyone use a BETA VCR?
They had a better picture than VHS, the entire drive system was =
basically
one rubber tire, but VHS won the video war, only time will tell. BTW, I
have a PROll and my 1984 BETA machine, it's in mint condition, and I use
it. Ken
