I've been using TalkPCR for beswt part of a year and find it better than the=
=20
offering from Icom. Printing out the memory banks is a little involved but=20
quite straight forward.
1. Via explorer got to \program files\talkPCR\samples (or whereever you=20
have put your memory files)
2 Open any FQH file with notepad. This should show a comma delimited=20
file.Now close it. Saves trying to convert an empty file!
3. Open the same file with excel or word (Excel is easier as it has a=20
wizard to do the conversion for you. In Word use the change text to table=20
command and select comma as the delimiter
=20
You should now have a table but without headers. As far as I can tell they=20
run from left to right in the following order (corrections welcome if I've=20
got it wrong)
Here is the FQL data file format as lifted from the help file in TalkPCR
Format of the =E2=80=98.FQL=E2=80=99, (frequency lists) files used by TalkPC=
R.
The file is a comma-separated variable ASCII file. There are 19 fields per=20
entry, they are defined below.
1 Frequency, Decimal number, with or without leading zeros
Examples:
0.198 =3D0.198MHz
0015.070002 =3D15.070002MHz
Default is 0.0MHz, but this will cause an error, as the radio cannot tune=20
0MHz.
2 Detector mode, ASCII hex pair, default=3D02, AM.
00=3DLSB
01=3DUSB
02=3DAM
03=3DCW
04=3DNot used
05=3DNBFM
06=3DWBFM
3 Bandwidth, ASCII hex pair, default=3D02,15k
00=3D2k8
01=3D6k0
02=3D15k
03=3D50k
04=3D200k
4 Description, Text field, default=E2=80=9C=E2=80=9D
Note that a description cannot have a =E2=80=9C,=E2=80=9D in it!
5 Volume, ASCII Hex pair, default=3D00, mute.
Range is 00 for mute, to FF full volume.
6 Squelch setting, ASCII Hex pair, default=3D00, open.
Range is 00 for open, to FF full squelch value, note level squelch starts=20
halfway at 80.
7 Tuning Step, Mkformat, Default=3D25k.
Examples:
50 =3D 50Hz
12k5 =3D 12.5kHz
100k =3D 100kHz
33k3r =3D 33.3333333kHz
1M0 =3D 1MHz
8 IF shift, ASCII Hex Pair, default=3D80, centre.
Range is 00 for to FF
9 AGC state, either 0 for slow, or 1 for fast, default 0, slow.
10 Attenuator state, either 0 for off, or 1 for on, default 0, off.
11 AFC state, either 0 for of, or 1 for on, default 0, off.
12 Noise Blanker state, either 0 for off, or 1 for on, default 0, off.
13 Scan Flag state, either 0 for on, or 1 for off, default off.

14 Srv text field, default=3D=E2=80=9C=E2=80=9D
Text for the Srv or service field.
15 Location text field, default=3D=E2=80=9C=E2=80=9D
Text for the Location field.
16 Duplex off set, Decimal number, with or without leading zeros,=20
default=3D=E2=80=9C=E2=80=9D, none.
Examples:
1.6 =3D1.6MHz
0.6 =3D600kHz
17 Tone squelch, ASCII Hex pair, default=3D00, off.
18 VSC, Voice Squelch, either 0 for off, or 1 for on, default 0, off.
