   I have been using an MFJ Mighty Lite 25 amp power supply with no problems at all. It's smaller than the 706.

I tried using a MFJ 4125 power supply with a 756PROII at XR0X for
RTTY.  The radio was pulling less than the power supplies rated
continuous current, but we still had to shut down when we smelled a
strong burning smell in the tent.  I switched the rig, which I was
using for RTTY, to an Astron SS-25M, and had no further problems.

The reason for using the 4125 in that environment was to stress test
it in a difficult situation, but with spares available.  I've used a
SEC1223 in the same situation with no problem.  The 4125 is smaller
than the SEC1223, but I don't trust it to full ratings.
