Thanks for all the fine replies.  This is what this list is all about.
The obvious solution was right there all the time.  I just could
not see it....

And then....

Seems to me one large P-III heatsink and fan should cut the heat
in the back just fine.  It will be cheap... it will be simple... and it
WILL WORK.  Best of all, I have a spare CPU heatsink & fan stored 
away in the storage loft above the guest house.  Time to look
for it tomorrow.
