[Icom] receiver overload on 706

Ok, thanks for the quick responses. I have a MK II G and have had no
problems so far. A friend said he fried his vhf uhf receiver by operating a
dipole a short distance away. My friend tends to be paranoid about antennas
and swr and such. He said he called Icom and they said a duplexer would
prevent this. I can't see using a duplexer when you already have two antenna
ports specific to the frequencies you are operating. Anyway, I think this is
probably not a problem but would like to hear further from you guys if you
know more. Thanks again.

IC-706 if you run a separate dual band antenna on port 2 and are
transmitting 100 watts on HF on the other antenna port? Assuming that there
is at least 2 or three feet between antennas? I am hearing some distressing
thoughts.
