Since this is the Icom reflector, one more plug for the PW-1.  I'm sure the
Acom is very nice, and I looked at it too.  I liked the
even-more-transparent operating of the PW-1, thanks to the built-in
automatic 4-position antenna switch and tuner.  With an Icom radio, you can
have transparent operation with 4 antennas, even those that might need a
little tuner action.  To me the only teeny tiny disadvantage that bugs me a
trifle is the 1000W vs 1500W.  At least the Icom (vs Yaesu) solid state amp
is not derated for heavy duty cycle.

Let's face it - The several most popular amps and rigs these days are great
and all have certain advantages.
