[Icom] receivers

Just a comment about the R71A-it has about the worst AM sound of any desk top 
radio ever built.  Maybe it is worse than the JRC-515 even.  The Icom R71A 
was/is very good in SSB but most of the Icoms until recently had to be 
retuned when switching from lsb to usb or to and from AM unlike Kenwood that 
did it for us in the software.  Later Yaesu switched automatically also.  The 
Icom 751A also had that problem.  But mostly AM or SWL listeners like myself 
would be bothered by it.  Icom until recently did not give AM much thought 
and sort of added AM as an after thought since they were mainly interested in 
cw and ssb transmissions.
