[Icom] Mic for IC275H, any thoughts there fellow Icom onwers???

Steve, you might want to look at Bob Heil's HM-i mic designed for Icom
radios. It sells for only $89 and has the higher output level that Icoms
prefer. It is styled like the GoldLine except that the windscreen is silver
instead of gold. I like the sound of mine with the PRO and it has gathered
"good audio" reports.

Incidently, I got an SM-8 with my IC-765 back in 1990 and did not prefer
its sound in comparison with my D-104 mic for the 765. It works ok and has
some nice features but the sound was a little on the low-end side for me
since I have a rather low-pitched voice.

I have never heard of "FM SSB" so I would appreciate anything you could
tell me about that mode. I am really unfamiliar with the IC-275 so maybe it
has some unique features.
