Hi Joseph,
I also run the 706 mobile and use the AH-4 tuner, but with a 102-inch
stainless steel whip from Radio Shack. ($15.00). I think the AH2b is
about $300, but have never made any direct comparisons between the whip
and an AH2b.
My AH-4 tunes my whip easily and quickly on 80 thru 6 meters. The steel
whip is a cheap way to go, but the AH2 might be better performer. Hope
some AH2b users will report their findings,
