If you send Icom a copy of your MARS license, they will send you the mod =
- If they do it for you they charge you 1/2 hr labor ($37.50) plus shippi=
ng but it will still be covered by the warranty - ( think they probably w=
ould still warrant the radio if you didn't mess it up doing the mod.) I h=
ave had them fax me mods befroe and they were hard to read, but they will=
 mail you the mod if you want. Good Luck

I did the mod yesterday.  I notice some drop off in the 5-6 mHz range,
especially noticeable at 5.9 or so.  I only removed the 2 diodes and see
none of the other problems you note.

Sounds like a hiccup somewhere.  Solder bridges?
