[Icom] pro proll and vl1000 quadra linear

is any one in Europ using this combo pro or proll and yaesu vertex vl1000
quadra linear ?
i like to know how good is the atu on it how good it will tune up 
i think there have to be to many protaction on it ,and some time the linear 
will not 
work . the 2nd thing is the pro or proll need to run 100 w when using the 
linear ?
or what ?
