I'm running HF digital mobile this week - PSK31 and RTTY. RTTY is FSK using
the dedicated FSK/PTT port on the back - thank you Icom! (No FSK on the
FT-100!) However, I use the audio IN and OUT of the ACC port for PSK etc.
I'm also using a power inverter in the car to power my laptop. I've noticed
some significant "hash" on PSK from that inverter - Maybe this relates to
the present discussion and some beads would help. However, with the power
inverter off, things are fine, so the ACC connections seem OK for normal use
in my car.
Great fun working HF digital mobile - when XYL driving, of course! 73
