The impedance (Z) of the inputs on the ACC connector is a high impedance
and susceptible to picking up extraneous signals that a low Z line would
not. I believe either 10K or 20K impedance.. The ferrite beads keeps
RF out.

I'm not clear on what you mean hi "Z" and the solder joints "Z" must be
a symbol for something associated with RF. What is the problem and the
solution relative to making up these cords for AMP's TNC's etc.

All,
One thing to keep in mind on the rear ACC connections on ALL of the
706's is that these inputs are all HI Z!! If you filter, put ferrite
beads at the soldered point of the wire to keep RF out. I learned the
hard way and then talked with ICOM about it...
