[Icom] rubber grip glue

I would suggest to wrap one turn of electrical rubber tape (3M No. 23 or
similar)in the knob, under de Rubber Grip.   That will hold it in place the
normal way.  If you are careful and stretch it properly, it will eventually
vulcanize with the grip.

This rubber grip tuning knob design seems to be on many of today's radios
starting back a few years. Before that I noticed it on things like focus
rings on camera lens assemblies and other places. I have noticed that
Kenwood's are the easiest to remove and Yaesu's are the hardest. The Icoms
are somewhere in the middle. The biggest problem you can face is the need to
remove the darn thing later when you have to get the front panel off -- if
that is a consideration for you. Chris, in his message below, implies that
with his good suggestion.
