I wanted to post an update on the R9000 display incase it might prove useful
to anyone with a similar problem.
I used component coolant to locate a temperature sensitive electrolytic in
the display unit. Replacing that helped the image roll up at the bottom of
the screen but a couple of the display lines were still distorted when cold.
I found another electrolytic (C11) in the CRTC unit that generates the image
for the display unit. It is mounted on the Logic A board so I had to dig a
bit for that one.
While I had it open I replaced the CRT with a white one from CRT Solutions.
It is pretty nice. The TV images look more normal now and the numeric
display looks good too.
Thanks for all your help.
