[Icom] ICOM Rigs/Acom Amplifier Keying?

Very interesting... contrary to what some have said in keying the new ACOM 
amplifiers with an ICOM rigs, the ACOM distributor in the US says that ICOM 
is a little different than the other manufacturers and that it requires a 
buffer relay in between the amp and the rig.  Now I am really confused!  Are 
the guys that say that they are keying them directly, just getting lucky?

I haven't received my ACOM 1000A although it has been shipped and is 
expected to arrive this coming week, so not sure what the specifications 
actually call for.
