My two cents after one day on the proII:
-an adjustable noise blanker that REALLY works
-what seems to be significantly more sensitivity, especially above 24
mHz. a/b comparison today on six proved it to me.
-dramatic improvement in 'graphics' for lack of a better term. The S
meter is much more readable, along with the front panel labeling and
markings on touch tone pad
-soft filtering does seem to take the 'digital' sound characteristic out
of the audio
-haven't heard any distortion on received signals with NB engaged,
perhaps because you don't need the preamps anymore.

Now that the price of the 756PRO II is on sale...how about a very brief
six line explantion of the differences.
